Divider Layouts

DIVIDER LAYOUTS

CATEGORY: Layouts
CLASS: Basics
VERSION: All Current Versions

A term that applies to a layout that is used to separate layouts of a particular function. For example, you could have 3 layouts for viewing, 1 for searches and 3 layouts for printing with 3 divider layouts between the major layout categories.

A divider layout is created by creating a blank layout with the name of the layout being a single hyphen character ( - ). Note: this can also be used for scripts and value lists. Although, FileMaker 9 has added a divider option alongside it’s new group option. (yeah!)

Here you can see how to name a divider layout.
