This feature was introduced with FileMaker 8 and it allows you to find a set of matching records with a single contextual menu click. All you have to do is right click on a field that has data within it and you can find matching records for that data. You can even constrain and extend the current found set based upon the selected field.
Here you can see the contextual menu for a field and how I have highlighted the fast find option. Right below that you can see how you can use this same feature to perform the constrain or extend version of the fast match.
