Handle

Handle

CATEGORY: General
CLASS: Working With FileMaker

The handle is a term often given to the small squares of a selected FileMaker layout object(s). The handle can be used to resize the layout object when a click-drag operation is performed while selecting it.

There are other popular handles in FileMaker, normally when you see a list of code elements such as scripts, script steps, fields, tables, import settings, etc... These can be clicked upon and used to move a selected item up or down the list.

Here you can see the handle highlighted for a list of fields in a table.
