Post-Event Script Trigger

Post-Event Script Trigger

CATEGORY: Script Triggers
CLASS: Event Categories

Script triggers are normally associated with an event taking place of some kind within the FileMaker session, hence the name of trigger. Some triggers are used to fire after the event happens and are called post-event triggers. For example, you can setup a trigger to fire when a new record is created or a new layout is loaded.

Here is a quick list of the family of post-event script triggers ...

• OnObjectEnter
• OnObjectModify
• OnLayoutLoad
• OnModeEnter
• OnRecordLoad
• OnFirstWindowOpen

Out of the 15 possible script triggers, the breakdown is six (6) post-event triggers, eight (8) pre-event triggers and one (1) that doesn’t fit either category (Install OnTimer Script).
